"Traditional "Frankfurter Küche" with a good variety of dishes. A must is to get a Bembel which is a jug filled with Apple wine to share. I can recommend the Appetizer plate which gives you a great idea of a typical German evening meal!"

"Amazing staff, really helpful with gluten free and dairy free options. Very well done traditional food, we had the chicken schnitzel and the potatoes with green sauce and eggs. The green sauce (grune soße) was so delicious, nothing like we’ve had before! And we tried the apfelwien, which was super refreshing and went well with dinner. Really recommend trying this place for dinner! Great atmosphere and great food. Lots of vegan, gluten free options!! Love love love"

"Best schnitzel restaurant in Frankfurt. I wouldn’t mind drinking their green sauce instead of coffee every day. Highly recommend. Also get the cheese with the onions for starters its really good. Personally not a big fan of cider but theirs is good. TIPPPP!! GET THE MASHED POTATOES AND MIX IT WITH THE GREEN SAUCE."

"For my first visit to Germany, I was looking for a restaurant that would serve plant-based versions of famous Frankfurt/German cuisine, and luckily Zum Eichkatzerl was able to deliver for me. They opened at 16:00 and my group was ready to dine at one of their outdoor tables and get eating. Their menu has both German and English, and I was able to easily find what I was looking for: a vegan schnitzel with green sauce. My plate came out with some thinly fried vegan mock meat and their famous green sauce. The schnitzel also came with a side of potatoes to complete the dish. Your slowly pour over the herby sauce onto your dish and dig right in. I gotta give it props because it was delicious and a banger of a local cuisine to get to try. Our server was nice and checked in on us periodically until it got too crowded. Overall, a really nice place to try some vegan local food without worrying about it containing meat."

"Came here after the locals recommended it for schnitzel - and we weren't disappointed. The schnitzel was incredible, sausage was good too. The spare ribs were a bit dry. Highly recommend the schnitzel with green sauce (Frankfurt specialty), and mushroom sauce was delicious as well."

"Everything we tried here was delicious! They have a several vegetarian options and some great vegan options including schnitzel with green sauce and potatoes. Fantastic sauerkraut and apfelwein too! Seems to be a popular spot with the locals. We had very friendly service as a group of Americans. Atmosphere is cozy and comfortable."
